Back in 2002, Gordon, began homebrewing beer. His first beer, called Saison, won gold medal in 2007 in the National Homebrew Competition. Located in the Fort Collins, the “Brew Capital” of the United States, Funkwerks is brewing some pretty tasty Belgium beer. Currently used at the Student Union for Metro State the Tivoli used to have a much different purpose. It used to be the former home of the Tivoli Brewing Company, which took its name from the world-famous Tivoli Gardens in Copenhagen, Denmark. The building was erected in 1866, housed the brewery until 1994 when it was remodeled into the student union.
